Children’s Bacterial and Fungal Skin Infection Treatment

Skin infections are common in childhood. If your baby or child is suffering from symptoms such as redness, rashes, itching or sores, they may have a bacterial or fungal skin infection.

Our pharmacists can assess the skin infection and where appropriate, supply funded treatment.

Who is this service for?

Children under 14 years of age.

What will it cost?

With a Community Services Card: consultation copayment of $5.

Without a Community Services Card: consultation copayment of $20.

Medicines supplied may be fully funded.

Our team will check your child’s symptoms, advise on care at home, and let you know if funded treatment or a medical referral is the best option.
